Sri Lanka Heritage Tour Itinerary For 5 Days
Day 1: Colombo – Pinnawala - Dambulla

After that, you will start your road journey to reach Dambulla. On your will, you will take a halt at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here, you will spend some time with elephants and enjoy a playful time. Next, you will continue your road trip and reach your pre-booked hotel in Dambulla. Complete the formalities of check-in and then rest for a while in your room. Stay overnight in the hotel on your comfy bed.
Day 2: Dambulla - Sigiriya - Kandy
Rise and shine with the fresh morning vibes in your hotel and relish the toothsome first day of the meal. After finishing your breakfast, you will start your sightseeing tour in Dambulla. Firstly, you will visit Dambulla Rock Temple, which is a UNESCO world heritage site. You will visit Nalanda Gedige which reflects the pattern of Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Next, you will visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is located at Sigiriya. Later, you will proceed to Kandy, an important and one of the best cultural places to see in Sri Lanka. On your arrival, you will move into your hotel and freshen up in your room, then retire for a peaceful sleep.
Day 3: Kandy - Peradeniya - Nuwara-Eliya
Begin your day with fresh and cool winds while enjoying your tasty breakfast. On this third day of your Sri Lanka cultural tour, you will explore the attractions of Kandy and visit Peradeniya, then move towards Nuwara-Eliya. Once you finish your breakfast, you will start your city tour and enjoy the drive along with the Kandy River. After that, you will attend the cultural program. Next, you will head towards the arts and craft center that give you a unique experience.
Once done, then you will visit Temple Tooth Relic which is one of the most popular pilgrimage sites of Sri Lanka. But to get a sneak peek of history more delightfully, you will explore the Gem Museum. Later you will cover Royal Botanical Gardens that are located at Peradeniya. After covering the cherishable memories, you will give your Sri Lanka heritage trip a turn by embarking on a journey for Nuwara Eliya. Day 4: Nuwara-Eliya - Kitulgala - Colombo

This 4th day of your Sri Lanka heritage tour is dedicated to exploring the Nuwara-Eliya, and then you will proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala. You will start your trip to explore the popular hill resort of Sri Lanka by visiting the tea plantation. Then you will proceed to the Kelani River, the broadest river in Sri Lanka. And it is the river where the Oscar-winning movie- Bridge on the River Kwai was filmed. After that, you get a private transfer to reach Colombo. On arrival, you will enter the pre-booked hotel to enjoy a stay overnight in Colombo.
Day 5: Departure from Colombo
It is the final day of your 5 days Sri Lanka heritage vacation. You will begin your day with a crunchy breakfast and get transferred to the Colombo airport. You will board the flight from the airport and say goodbye to Sri Lanka.
