Mandawa Fort History

Rao Shekhaji founded the Shekhawati region and was the area's ruler for many years. Shekhawati was the trading center for the old route connecting China and the Middle East. Thakur Nawal Singh, the ruler of Mandawa, decided to build a fort to protect the outpost. And as time passed, many traders came here and decided to settle.
