Itinerary Details

Day 1: Kochi - Athirapally (67 km/ 2 hr 10 min-Approx.)

The tour begins with your arrival at the respective stations or airport at Kochi. From here, you will be taken to Athirapally by road. On reaching Athirapally, you check in at the hotel, and the rest of the evening is at leisure in the comfort of the hotel. This place is embraced by dense forests which offer a wide range of flora and fauna. Overnight stay in Athirapally.

Day 2: Arithapally

After breakfast, you have a day planned out for sightseeing. After breakfast, you leave and visit the Thumburmuzhi Gardens, Vazhachal Forest Gardens, and waterfalls, including the Charpa fall. The Vazhachal waterfalls are located very close to the Athirapally falls. After a visit to these sites, the rest of the day is spent leisurely exploring the tribal villages, hiking, or fishing. Overnight stay in Arithapally.

Day 3: Athirapally - Kumarakom (108 km/ 3 hr 10 min-Approx.)

After breakfast, you leave for Kumarakom, which takes around four hours to reach. It is one of the most famous backwater destinations in Kerala. The Vembanad Lake consists of massive canals and streams along the banks, making a web. The main highlight of Kumarakom is the Bird Sanctuary which is home to several exotic and migratory birds. The most common birds seen are the cuckoo, waterfowl, wild ducks, and more. For the rest of the day, you are at leisure to know the place closely. Overnight halt at Kumarakom.

Day 4: Kumarakom -Kochi (48 km/ 1 hr 15 min-Approx.)

Your exciting journey ends on the 4th day, and you take a three-hour ride to the given stations and airport in Kochi.
